a. Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email, password, and optional profile information (e.g., company, role, LinkedIn integration).

b. Usage and Content Data

We collect content you create or upload using our platform, as well as metadata and analytics data like page views, browser type, and session activity.

c. LinkedIn Data

If you connect your LinkedIn account, we collect only the data you authorize (e.g., name, profile, work history), and we follow all LinkedIn API Terms of Use. We store this data only as long as needed to provide the requested service.

d. Technical Data

We automatically collect IP addresses, device types, operating systems, browser versions, and access logs to ensure security and system performance.

 

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Operate and maintain the Services

  • Improve product functionality and design

  • Provide user support and technical troubleshooting

  • Send service-related communications (not marketing unless opted in)

  • Monitor platform performance, usage trends, and prevent abuse

  • We do not use your data to train any 3rd party AI or LLM systems

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

MadScript does not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals, as no industry standard exists. You can still manage tracking preferences through your browser or privacy settings.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data:

  • With trusted service providers (e.g., AWS, analytics tools) who are bound by confidentiality and security terms

  • To comply with legal obligations or court orders

8. User-Authorized Third Parties

If you connect MadScript to a third-party service (e.g., LinkedIn), we may share your data with that provider only to the extent needed to deliver that integration. You control the connection and can revoke access at any time.

We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices, so please review their policies separately.

 

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data as long as needed to:

  • Provide the Services

  • Meet legal and contractual obligations

Upon deletion request or account deactivation:

  • Your personal data is removed from active systems within 7 days

  • LinkedIn data is purged within 24 hours

  • Backups are deleted within 30 days

Some data may be retained as required by law (e.g., financial records).

 

10. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your data may be stored or processed outside your country, including in the United States. Where required by law (e.g., for EEA users), we use Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful mechanisms to ensure data protection during transfers.

 

11. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption, firewalls, and access controls to protect your data. While we work to ensure the highest level of security, no system is completely immune to breaches.

 

12. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, contact us immediately for deletion.
